Money’s role in real life
Money in Perspective explores the financial side of ordinary life: the work we do, the phones we replace, the holidays we plan and the small purchases that quietly become habits. Money is part of those stories even when a budget or investment is not the main character.
Our sections are Money, Life, Work, Tech, Travel, Business and Sport. Consumer behaviour runs through them all: what we value, why we buy and how decisions feel different from the numbers on paper.
What is the money perspective?
That is our editorial test. A subject belongs here when there is a meaningful financial, behavioural, economic or decision-making angle. We look for the trade-off behind the headline: time, cost, convenience, opportunity or the choices available to someone in real life.
Clear language, useful context
We use relatable situations, useful numbers and restrained humour to explain ideas without unnecessary financial jargon. Examples should make a point easier to understand, not pretend that everyone has the same income, priorities or options. Our aim is practical understanding, rather than telling readers how to live.
