Editorial policy
Clarity, accuracy and independence. The standards behind our stories.
Our mission and principles
Explain money through real life. Our standards are clarity, accuracy, independence, usefulness, proportionality and transparent corrections. Humour should illuminate an idea, never replace evidence or make a reader feel foolish.
Choosing a topic
We ask: what is the money perspective? A story should offer a meaningful insight into cost, behaviour, economics or a real decision. We consider the reader’s likely questions and the limits of a comparison, rather than choosing a conclusion first.
Sources and accuracy
Factual claims require checking before publication. Primary and authoritative sources are preferred. Changing information, including tax rules, prices and product terms, needs current evidence. Sources should be linked where readers need them to assess a claim. We distinguish reported facts from interpretation, opinion and uncertainty.
Numbers and examples
Illustrative amounts and scenarios must be identifiable as examples unless supported as factual statistics or current offers. Calculations should be checked, their assumptions explained and important exclusions made clear. A tidy example does not represent every household or business.
Reviews and comparisons
Explain the criteria: price, use, quality, convenience and other relevant trade-offs. Distinguish hands-on experience from analysis of published information. Do not claim testing that did not happen, or present a preference as the objectively best choice for everyone.
Review and responsibility
Published articles are reviewed and approved by Victor as editor. Review covers accuracy, sourcing, usefulness, originality, numerical examples and disclosures. Technology can assist research, drafting, editing and production, but does not replace human approval or editorial responsibility. We do not invent authors, credentials, sources or personal experiences.
Corrections
Report a suspected error to moneyinperspectivemedia@gmail.com with the article link, relevant passage and supporting evidence. We assess the report and seek clarification where needed. Material errors should be corrected promptly once established. Where appropriate, the article carries a correction note explaining what changed.
Publication dates and updates
The original 50 launch articles do not display publication dates or include article publication dates in metadata. New articles use the genuine date of first public publication, displayed in UK format. Internal archive ordering dates are not publication dates and are not shown to readers. We will not retrospectively date the launch library without verified publication history. Podcast dates are verified against their source.
“Updated” means a genuine material editorial change after publication, accompanied by a record of the change. A spelling or formatting adjustment alone does not justify making an article look newly updated. Publication metadata and structured data use the genuine publication record, separately from internal archive ordering. A future rollout must happen on real dates.
Commercial independence
Advertising and sponsorship must not buy editorial conclusions. Sponsored content must be clearly labelled, with material relationships and conflicts disclosed where relevant. Advertisements must remain distinguishable from articles.
No advertising integration or affiliate programme is active in this version. If affiliate links are introduced, their commercial nature must be disclosed clearly near the relevant content. Planned commercial services are not presented as existing partnerships.
Financial information
Our work provides general context, not personalised financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Material claims in these areas require appropriate verification. The disclaimer explains the limits without removing our responsibility to take accuracy seriously.
